Dr. Birx Is Very Upset That Red State Governors Aren’t Locking Down For Christmas

It is becoming increasingly evident that there are now two Americas, the states ruled by power-drunk authoritarian Democrat Governors and the free states which are primarily in the Sun Belt.

Now that the media has whipped up a second wave of mass hysteria over COVID, Democrats are imposing another crushing round of lockdowns that are particularly cruel due to their harsh restrictions during the traditionally festive Christmas holidays.

With a nationwide lockdown still out of the question, at least until Joe Biden is installed into the White House, liberal control freaks are clearly frustrated that the entire country won’t have Christmas stolen by the Democrat Grinches.

One of the petty tyrants who is dismayed that Christmas will be allowed to take place in Trump country is White House Coronavirus Task Force member Dr. Deborah Birx who was interviewed by host Chuck Todd on NBC’s flagship “Meet The Press” on Sunday.

Dr. Birx decried the fact that the COVID fearmongering hasn’t driven Republican governors to lock down their states like their blue state counterparts who have brought down the iron curtain for the holidays.

Via Politico, “Birx frustrated by ‘parroting back of virus misinformation”:

White House coronavirus response coordinator Deborah Birx said Sunday she’s frustrated with the persistence of false claims about the spread of the virus.

In an interview on NBC’s “Meet the Press,” Birx said she’s heard members of local communities “parroting back” misinformation about the effectiveness of masks and called for stronger mitigation efforts.

When I go out, I just don’t meet with health care providers and governors and mayors, but I also meet with the community,” Birx said. “And so I hear community members parroting back those situations, parroting back that masks don’t work, parroting back that we should work toward herd immunity, parroting back that gatherings don’t result in superspreading events. And I think our job is to constantly say those are myths.”

“And right now, across the Sun Belt, we have governors and mayors who have cases equivalent to what they had in the summertime, yet aren’t putting in the same policies and mitigations that they put in the summer, that they know changed the course of this pandemic across the South,” she added. “So it is frustrating, because not only do we know what works, governors and mayors used those tools to stem the tide in the spring and the summer.”

Birx’s disappointment comes at a time when California Governor Gavin Newsom has just locked down 33 million citizens, Michigan’s Gretchen Whitmer has extended restrictions into Christmas week and New York strongman Andrew Cuomo is threatening to shutter bars and restaurants.

Last week, Birx appeared on CBS’s “Face The Nation” where she offered up a message of doom and told Americans who had defied the experts by celebrating Thanksgiving to just assume that they had the virus.

Via CBS News, “Birx says Americans who gathered for Thanksgiving should assume they’re infected and get tested”:

Dr. Deborah Birx, the coordinator of the White House Coronavirus Task Force, warned Sunday that Americans who traveled for the Thanksgiving holiday and attended large gatherings should assume they were infected with the coronavirus and get tested within the next few days.

“We know people may have made mistakes over the Thanksgiving time period,” Birx said in an interview with “Face the Nation.” “If you’re young and you gathered, you need to be tested about five to 10 days later. But you need to assume that you’re infected and not go near your grandparents and aunts and others without a mask.”

While the scarf lady lacks the star power of fellow task force member Dr. Anthony Fauci who is the burning sun at the center of the resistance galaxy, she has been getting more face time on the Sunday morning “news” shows as she auditions for a job in a potential Biden administration.
