Thanks to Hunter Biden’s unraveling web of corruption involving China and the Ukraine dominating the news wires for the past week, other important headlines have been all but buried and one of those important stories coincidentally involves Communist China.
It appears as if China, which claims to be a world leader, isn’t playing by the rules (imagine that) with regard to courses of action taken when one of their alleged spies is caught and prosecuted in the United States. Instead, they’re playing a game of what’s called “hostage diplomacy” which is putting the lives of Americans who are legally conducting business in China at great risk.
As The New York Post reported, a number of Chinese research scientists in America have found themselves in deep trouble with the FBI and the Department of Justice after it was discovered that they’re on active duty status with China’s People’s Liberation Army.
In other words, their reasons for being in the United States were not what they originally reported.
Because of that, at least five of these communist Chinese military-connected scientists have been arrested by federal law enforcement. Instead of respecting U.S. laws like any other country would, China has apparently thrown a diplomatic tantrum by threatening to arrest U.S. citizens in China who’ve essentially done nothing criminally wrong.
A spokesperson for the U.S. State Department recently told The Wall Street Journal about the new dangers to U.S. citizens in China, who may unfairly be caught up in a game of diplomatic cat-and-mouse under certain circumstances.
“We warn US citizens that business disputes, court orders to pay a settlement, or government investigations into both criminal and civil issues may result in an exit ban which will prohibit your departure from China until the issue is resolved,” the spokesperson said.
“We are aware that the Chinese government has, in other instances, detained American, Canadian and other individuals without legal basis to retaliate against lawful prosecutions and to exert pressure on their governments, with a callous disregard of the individuals involved,” said DOJ official John Demers, who heads up the organization’s national security division.
Demers added that it would be in China’s best interest to respect the laws of the United States and stop with the retaliatory threats.
If you’ll remember last summer, there was a dust-up at the Chinese Consulate in Houston, Texas that was ordered closed down by the State Department for reasons involving Chinese diplomats allegedly only there to help collect important American scientific findings.
China’s refusal to respect American laws — as we respect theirs — is just another signal that the communist nation is not a country that chooses to play by the rules.
Under the Obama administration, we were temporarily blinded to the dangers that China presents to the United States and the world because they played him like a fiddle. However, thanks to President Donald Trump, China has been fully exposed for what they truly are and always have been — one of America’s most clear and present global threats.
These types of situations are just another alarming reason why we can’t let China Joe Biden win the White House in November. Like President Trump has stated on many occasions, if Biden does manage to win, China will begin to takeover the United States on many different levels.
