Presumptive Democratic nominee Joe Biden has finally unveiled his moniker for 2020 rival President Trump, saying he calls his general election opponent “President Tweety.”
Biden revealed the nickname Monday while speaking to the Asian American and Pacific Islanders Victory Fund, remarking, “Trump is out there tweeting again this morning. I call him ‘President Tweety.’”
The ex-VP made the comment when talking about what he thought the president should be focused on as opposed to spending his time on Twitter.
Speaking about Trump’s vocal desire to reopen the country, Biden asked, “How are we supposed to do that if you’re sitting on the money small businesses need? Stop tweeting about it, get the money out to Main Street.”
Trump, a frequent poster on the social media platform, has referred to Biden as “Sleepy Joe” throughout the 2020 campaign.
The commander-in-chief became known during the 2016 presidential election for his political nicknames, including “Crooked Hillary” Clinton, “Lyin’ Ted” Cruz and “Little Marco” Rubio.
Biden said last week he was resisting giving a nickname to his foe, telling Snapchat in an interview posted to Vanity Fair that he viewed Trump as “a master at laying nicknames on people.”
“In terms of energy, I don’t have any problem comparing my energy level to Donald Trump, who I’m really resisting giving a nickname to,” he added to the host of “Good Luck America,” Snapchat’s daily political show.
Trump has not yet responded to his new nickname from Biden.
